internship Spain Max Gielis 2017

It was wednesday the 12th of April when a big blue bus arrived at the Misse in Heesch. It represented the official HVCH colors. Also the bus contained stickers which sayed: HVCH J013 on tour. This gave me, and also the players and staff a very professional feeling. All the players were dressed up in the sponsor outfit and ready to go. Even a priest came to make sure that god would be on our side while playing the tournament. We were escorted by the police onto the highway and our journey began. The drive took a long, longe time. We went to the top ten sports arena, where me and the staff signed us up and handed in our playerslist. When we arrived at the hotel in Spain, Lloret de Mar, I checked everybody in at the reception and made sure that everybody had a roomkey. Also I made sure that the tourism tax would be payed. Everybody changed clothes and we were ready to eat at the beach. The weather was beautiful that day (thursday), we decided to go to a beach bar, where me and the staff ordered food and drinks for everyone. We ate and trained at the beach. We went to bed early, because everybody was tired from the trip to Spain. The next day (friday) we got up early to have breakfast (which i reserved for the whole group). We drove to the top ten sports park where me and the staff got our scheme. The first match was against a team from Switserland. We won 2-0. We had to wait for the results from the other teams. We performed a cooling down for the team to stay fit and focused on the coming games. We had to play against german, french and italian teams the coming days. After that we went back to the hotel to change and we had a afternoon of with the guys. In the evening I arranged a place to eat because the food in our hotel wasn't that good..... I also went to the reception to arrange the breakfast for the next day. The following day (saturday) was actually the same as yesterday. Going to the sports park, talking to the organisation, winning al the games and talk to the coaches from the other teams to evalluate the day. We went home to change and eat at the burger king. We were picked up by our own personal bus that drove us the top ten sports arena where a beautiful ceremony took place to celebrate the tournament. After the ceremony, we went to a bar and had some fun. The last day (sunday) we had breakfast together and drove to the sport fields. We had a very important game against a youth team of the French professional footbal club Lille. If we won, we would be participating in the finals, but that didn't happen, we lost 2-0 and of course eveybody was pissed off. To make the boys happy again, we went to the beach where we had a lot of fun. We even played against french guys that we also met at the tournament. Everybody changed at the hotel and I checked everybody out and made sure that everything and everyone was ready to leave. We left the hotel with our suitcases and walked to the bus. We got in and the long drive back home started....
I really enjoyed my international internship in Spain, we had a lot of fun, won a lot of games against foreign countries, met a lot of nice and cool foreign people and of course, spoke a lot of English. I really liked it when we came in a sitation and nobody understood what was said, and I just managed to get everything done for the whole group. I really see that my bilingual education helps so much in the outside world, that's why I would recommend it to everybody.
I want to thank everybody that took part in this fantastic tournament and I hope nobody will ever forget it!!!
